The Mighty CATTERS

We are Geelong, the poorest team of all
We are Geelong, you know we win fugg all
We play the game as it should be played
Until Grand Final Day!
We lose at home, from six goals up
Another Cat stuff up!

Well, it's starting to happen a bit less! Cats for the flag in 2006!!!

Have two supporter flags and various team pics of my two teams hanging proudly in the office. The Mighty Bloods and the The Fabulous Crows.

I get really offended by the "cows" comment. those that use it are obviously poorly educated.

We're the Cows from South Australia
And we're all too easily licked
If you're one of the in-crowd
Then for sure you will be picked

No conversation at the station
Cos the fans can't tie their shoes
We're the Cows from South Australia
And away we're sure to lose

Essendon are so corrupt-upt
Well one out of three aint so bad
Our mad old coach really is too strange
He wants ten men on the ol' interchange

Essendon are so corrupt-upt
The salary cap well what's that?
We'll pay what we like
So get on your bike
Because we are so corrupt!

I can't say I like that one being an Essendon fan!
We were over the cap once 10 years ago! What about Carlton? Elliott said we cheated to win the flag(flag wasn't in the year we were over) yet 1 year later it came out they did it several times and then our president called them the 'serial salary cap cheaters'! That was good.
Like your songs though!

A New Beer {Carlton Bitter}

We are the navy blues
We're the old, old navy blues
We're the team that plays in fits and starts
We're the rich mob recycling old farts

We think we're still the best
Come on give it a rest
The draft is such a test
And we'll all be drunk and singing
Remember when we were winning

I came up with this one in January 2002. Now why can't I predict something usefull like Lotto numbers, rather than the demise of the Carlton football club!

Oh We're from Tigerland,
A coaches nightmare, we're from tigerland
In early season you will often see us win
Risking draft picks
If we are worse than 6 and 10, coach is heading for the bin
Oh we're from Tigerland, We'll never weaken till the first half of the season is gone
Like the Tiger Of Old, the season's gone cold
Oh we're from Tiger - axe in the back -
Oh we're from Tigerland

Or you can substitute 'axe in the back' with 'coach we will sack'

Good old Eddiewood (whatever)
They know how to rig the game
The AFL and the Pies together
With the draw that is a shame (Cor Blimey)
See the barrackers a-spitting
Like all fans of the Woods
O the flag is but a pipe-dream
When you follow Eddiewood

Here's a song that covers both..Port Adelaide Magpies and that other composite SA side you follow..

A New Port Song

[sung to the tune of the Swannies song, which Port Magpies use]

Cheer Cheer the teal, white and black
Cahill's no good - give im the sack
50 buck seat anchoring what a wank
Shake down the dollars from the bank

Whether the odds be long or be short
We will hate you because you're Port
And you'll be talking about the black and white past
When you finish second last

All this mirth and merriment is well and good, but your club song actually starts with:

"We are Geelong, the greatest team of all",

Now my friend,THAT is humour.
