Sssshh not until he is signed, sealed and delivered ;)
Wouldnt worry too much, a pending 3rd strike will give him ample time to recover ;)

I would like to see a list of players that were at their best at 30

Wouldn't be to many in the modern game

The "new" administration (circa 2020) will hate the previous administration for this deal.

If Buddy gets to 32 and succumbs to injury, there is no way in the world he'll retire, unless its written in that he can get paid out in full. Either way it'll be in their salary cap, buggering them up for years!

Yeh, nice. Compare apples with oranges. "The best" as you call them are all on ballers.

Jon Brown is 31 and struggling. All KPP struggle when they get to around 30. Enjoy the back ended contract stuffing your club up for MANY years after he stops playing.

Yep all midfielders

5 out of all the footballers in the AFL that are over 29 isn't a great strike rate

Unfortunately, Sydney can't give Franklin a huge paying job like Judd. And Sydney are rorting the system?

Buddy isn't falling apart. He's a star and we all know it. He won't be in 9 years though and as for coming into his prime now, LOL! He peaked in 2008. Since then he's been a great player but he's not going to reach those heights again. He'll be very good for Sydney no doubt about it but not for 9 years. Good luck to him though. Hope he enjoys the lifestyle and the media leave him alone. Hang out with fellow flogs like James O'Connor and not much will change for him though.

Brown
Judd
Kerr
Chapman
Riewoldt
Didak
Johncock
Hille
Black
C.Cornes

Who while still good footballers they are a shadow of the players they were 3 or so years ago
