Yeh, nice. Compare apples with oranges. "The best" as you call them are all on ballers.

Jon Brown is 31 and struggling. All KPP struggle when they get to around 30. Enjoy the back ended contract stuffing your club up for MANY years after he stops playing.

Unfortunately, Sydney can't give Franklin a huge paying job like Judd. And Sydney are rorting the system?

Good twisting of words again TSG. Who said anything about rorting the system? Own up bud, you're going to be hog tied by this for years.

Hopefully buddy is still a very good footballer at 33.

P. S. Ryan O'Keeffe is 32.

Sydney look to be screwed by this farcical Franklin deal in the future as the COLA will be abolished. Yes it continues for existing contracts but as they expire good luck keeping some of those big name mids. Got greedy Sydney and you will pay

I'm loving how everyone is psychic and all know how the buddy will go!

Judd? Who's just accepted a one year deal? You're really trying to deflect attention but it aint working!

I'd be ropeable if my club tied someone into a long term deal like this. But you want to keep justifying it. Good on you.

I really hope Buddy does keep playing, I love watching the guy but the chances of him playing at age 34 or 35 is in the 10% range I would've thought, given history of his type of player.

http://m.theage.com.au/sport/jesinta-he ... 2v0tu.html rugby league scribe outing Buddy's real reason for the swans. If she can't keep him under the thumb, no one ever will. Sydney better hopes it doesn't go sour.

Sssshh not until he is signed, sealed and delivered ;)
Wouldnt worry too much, a pending 3rd strike will give him ample time to recover ;)

LMAO, hawthorn supporters all of a sudden talking about a third strike that didnt exist two weeks ago.

He wasnt a dual premiership player 2 weeks ago, celebrations have taken their toll, the out of season target testing has caught him out ;)
Does the AFL release stats on how many from each club are tested? $ydney at the bottom of that list no doubt being the AFL poster boys and all??

Its obvious COLA needs to be taken from $ydney but i think the AFL should increase the COLA for GWS. When an absolute star like Franklin wants to live in Sydney, GWS should get him no matter what the cost. GWS should be able to make him an offer he cant refuse, 3 mill/year would do it. Just leave it up to the AFL's discretion much like the priority pick is.
