It's too good to be true IMO. Even Chris Judd in 2008 in his prime and arguably the second best player in the comp (plus club captain, premiership player and Brownlow medalist) only commanded pick 3 plus Josh Kennedy. Plus the Eagles had to give up a late draft pick to sweeten the deal.

Given everyone is enquiring about him this year, if he wanted to move, why wait another year? He will get just as much money this year as next to be coaxed away from the crows. No need to get to be a free agent to pump up his value, he would already be in the top 5 earners on the market if he left.

He wont be able to get to the club of his choice if he goes now, there is no way a Hawthorn or Geelong could satisfy Adelaide. And no way Dangerfield will agree to a trade to a club that is unsuccessful with draft picks to give.
If he wants success he just has to bide his time and wait for free agency next year.
My earlier post about 2 out of Spangher/Shoenmakers and Ceglar/Lowden/McEvoy plus pick 18 maybe a better option for the crows than waiting until next year and getting pick 10-12 depending where the Crows finish. They could also tank for the year and get pick 2 for him, thats an option

Seems like Melbourne have offered picks 2 and 3 for danger. Assuming it gets to the point where danger says yes, which I don't think he will, but assuming he does - what do we think about it?

To me this would be a super tempting offer. If the crows could replace him with two pacy skilful young midfielders it would change the makeup of the side a LOT and I think would give us that midfield balance we were lacking. Would leave sloane and the crouch brothers to do the heavy lifting and then if we could get some young mids who can use the ball well I don't think we would lose out that much.

As much as I love danger I think that would be a win win.

Best case scenario is he stays with the crows and wins a brownlow next year though.

His best is as good as anyone in the comp, but he is coniderably more inconsistent than the best best players in the comp such as Ablett and Pendlebury.

Agree 100%. Highly overrated/overexposed in this city, especially by the media. Can play no doubt, but has flaws in his game. His 2014 was sub-par by his standards (don't let the Brownlow result suggest otherwise)

Take picks 2 and 3 if available and move on.
