End of season movements. FA, trades, bullshit etc.

Silly season seems to be starting already.

Looking likely that Frawley will head to cat land under free agency.

Also Frost from the GWS looks like he wants to return home to vic. A few suitors already but Melbourne are keen.

Jono O'rouke from the GWS has been linked to the Saints and Cartlon.

Melbourne have also shown interest in Tutt from the bulldogs.

Kristin Jaksch is being chased by the Saints as well as others.

Thats all the stuff I have come across in the last week or so. Post away if you have others.

AFL trades are reporting on facebook that Carlton have asked Dean Cox to continue his career with the Blues.

What. A. Joke.

Not him, more our recruiting over the past 5 years. Disgraceful!

Also, Higgins is on our radar too apparently, whilst North might be the best suitors for Jarrad Waite.

Mitch Clarke has reportedly narrowed it down to Collingwood and Essendon as his two preferred choices.
Ryder as good as gone, Brisbane look to be the front runners but have heard Sydney has entered the race over the last few days.

Carlisle to Hawks
Shoenmakers to Adelaide [-o< , maybe a swap for Lyons
Jetta to West Coast, surely no one wants him
Jones to the suns, they need a tagger
Kelly, Bartel and Mackie to be "retired"

Lewis Johnston has been spoken to and informed he is likely to be moved on.
Jon Giles to the Crows
Bulldogs keen on Shaun McKernan
I have been hearing a bit in relation to the Schoenmakers move too.

No chance Bartel will be retired!

Geelong won't retire any of that lot, not going to make the same mistakes two years in a row at Cat land. ( Namely Chapman and Podsiadly )

Doubtful.
We've got one of the most talented young ruck combos in the league.
He wouldn't want to go to a place where he's third in line.

But you're not flash up front. TBH half the rumours this time of season could start from two blokes chatting while waiting for a train or something.

Plus Mitch Clarke who will end up there

That was my reaction too! At this time of the year though it is a case of BYO salt!

Definitely not flash up front. Not sure Kruzer solves that.

How would Pods and Chappy have helped us this year? Maybe advanced our season by one week maybe at best, but held us back longer in the future. I don't think it was a mistake to let either of those guys go. I think Geelong should retire a couple of the blokes daisy mentioned in his troll, um, I mean post. Kelly looks done for sure and Mackie might have some trade value. Maybe we could scam the Crows somehow. ;)

Pods and Chappy were only servicable at best for their new clubs and the trade of Pods looked worse only because Vardy went down in the pre-season. Murdoch has come on a long way this season but if he was sitting in the Magoos for an extra dozen weeks this season he might be looking to move to another club.

If the Cats hang on to too many of the old guys that would be making the same mistake two years in a row. I'd keep Bartel and Enright only.

regards,

REB

Was certainly no troll REB, Just stating what is best for the future of the GFC.
Kelly is cooked and will be shown the door, Mackie a 50/50 and Bartel will get one more year, However if they keep Mackie and Bartel it will mean next year they lose those 2 plus Enright and possibly Stevie J.
Hope you dont use to much salary cap on Frawley and rule yourselves out from recruiting Dangerfield at end of next year.

The choice was keep the old guys on or see if the young blokes have what it takes. 7 wins under 2 goals masked the problem, some of the kids don't seem to have what it takes. ( At the moment )

Mitch Clarke was at Collingwood for several hours today apparantly, sounds like Melbourne might be close to a deal with them. Perhaps Harry O'Flog goes the other way plus a pick

Given Herretier also had a little bit of time away from the club for mental health reasons, it's interesting.
There'll be many takes on that particular deal.
