If Essendon can get Stringer be a very good bet to make the 8 if they remain 15's for the flag.

I know you dont look into it much but How the hell are the swans faves? You’d think it would be Richmond up there with the Crows.

I think they are a good prospect, especially if they get a full year out of Maxy, missing the 8 this season could well be a blessing in disguise for them.

Very similar to the two most recent premiers, full of kids having a red hot crack for their colours and peers.

2015- 13th Dogs
2016- 13th Richmond
2017- 13th Collingwood (Surely they can't or can they?)

Richmond caught the competition on the hop with a great system of play, rather than great players (top couple notwithstanding)

Usually those teams find it more difficult to stay up the top than teams that have genuine star power - Sydney definitely fall into that bracket, as do the crows and GWS.

On paper all of those teams look much better than richmond - not to take anything away from them, or the bulldogs the year before for that matter
