As soon as I saw it, I thought 3 weeks.
To get off, that's a joke. Given the AFL are preaching protecting the head.
Dangerous precedent set

Downgraded from careless to accidental because apparently Powell was pushed towards Fritsch by Petracca and Fritsch's forearm deflected off Powell's arm into his head. Bewildering. If a player is going to fend off with his forearm, then that's pretty obviously careless at a minimum.

The Dangerfield decision was the precedent.
Like you guys, I'm *"cked if I can work out how you can elbow a bloke in the head and get off.
Hawkins, for example, jumper punches a bloke and gets suspended.
Fritz fended with an elbow, just like Dangerfield no penalty.
If he broke the guys jaw, what then....footy accident?

McCartin said as a type 1 diabetic when he's low on sugar he can be more irritable.

The AFL's stance on hits/knocks/bumps to the head seem to have gone soft in recent times.

We saw the bump on Laird get let off and now this one.

The quality of football on the park has got better this season but geez they still love their inconsistent vogue rules/interpretations. What was this rounds rule of the week....oh yeah only 25m kicks were paid as marks.

The Capitals are my team in the NHL and it was a pretty filthy hit even for the NHL. Wilson is a very good player but he has a fair list of suspensions to his name

"I went to a fight the other night, and a hockey game broke out." - Rodney Dangerfield.

I think the different power balance in American pro sport, with players' unions having far more clout, explains why organizations are more willing to criticise the league.

Christian Petracca has signed a 7 year contract extension.

When will clubs learn?

While the Managers are smarter than the list managers, this will keep happening.
