Gossage is playing by the SEN playbook.
Only issue id be concerned about from Rioli is his language when asked about a trade to Port - seemed very focused on the money.

Agree with that, was more about setting up his future

Reading WCE supporters on FB last night - they were adamant they get pick 8 + either SPP, Georgiades or Duursma!

Although with SPP, plenty of comments going around that they dont want him, he's not even in Ports best 21

He isnt that good is he?

I still maintain 5 year contracts should be the maximum and they should be for the very elite only

Taranto at 25 years old is exactly what Richmond need, we don't have any close to decent midfielders in that prime age bracket & with Presita (29 years old) closer to the end & a few good young ones coming through he fills the gap nicely. Last Thursday night with Neale getting every clearance possible showed exactly how desperate we are for another mid.

Is 7 years too many absolutely!! I would prefer 5 maximum but I'll trust the list mangers I can't remember their last bad decision in the last 5-10 years when bringing someone key in.

For a 27 year old who has played 50 games and kicked 60 goals.

How about a third rounder and we move on?

Deal.

LUKE Jackson has today informed the Melbourne Football Club of his desire to return home to Western Australia.

Melbourne will now work with West Coast and Fremantle to secure a suitable trade.

Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb said although the club was disappointed, they respected Luke’s decision.

“There is no doubt that we wanted Luke to remain at the Demons, but we respect his decision to want to return home to Western Australia to be closer to his family and friends.

“We will now work to secure a deal that compensates the club accordingly."

Would be a better fit at West Coast as a NicNat replacement imo

Not much more, some late shuffles would get it done.

Melbourne give - Jackson, 3rd rounder

West Coast give - Pick 2, 2nd rounder

That would get it done.

Except though he'll end up at Freo as part of the Lobb trade somehow.

Yet Rankine is worth two first round picks?

I'll change my mind on Jackson, I didn't realize he was pick 3 ( thought he was pick 15 or so for some reason ).

Pick 3, rising star, 21, he's worth more than Rankine.
