How many of the next 7 do they win?

Will likely only start as favourites vs GC

Injuries starting to pile up, worst fitness staff in the AFL

If we get to the bye something like 6-6 I'd take that as a win

To this day the greatest full forward I’ve ever seen play.

Lockett, Dunstall, Ablett Snr, all from an era when stay at home full forwards were the norm, they did however have to earn their kicks unlike the modern players.

For the era he played in Franklin I think is the best FF I have seen. To kick 1000 goals this century the way the game is played is nothing short of phenomenal.

Dunstall however was, with Hodges, my childhood hero. Still have the Oz Child guernsey with the #19 on it.

Agree Franklins efforts are remarkable. Especially given how much better he was as a full forward than any other in his era. Compare that to Dunstall/Lockett/Ablett Snr your splitting hairs with all of them. No splitting hairs with anyone else but Franklin in his era.

What i find remarkable is how small Lockett, Dunstall and Ablett are compared to modern day forwards.

Curnow 194cm
Franklin 198cm
J.Cameron 196cm
Lockett 191cm
Dunstall 188cm
Ablett 185cm

and to think Ablett wasnt a natural born full forward

The thing that makes Buddy a freak is that as a key forward he wasn't that great overhead contested mark like Lockett, Dunstall, Ablett.
I know his shoulders weren't great though.

Yes he was.
Too lazy to be a midfielder.
Didn't like training much especially the running bit.
Vice like hands.
Booming kick. Didn't like handballing.
He's your prototype full forward.

Not lazy
He was based around work smarter not harder

Imagine if he did have a tank, he's Dangerfield x 5

If they are good enough, they win enough of these games just like any other side.

Nathan Murphy has retired, can't really believe they cleared him to resume training this season. Glad they got to the right decision, eventually .

Their kick it long to Charlie and Harry game plan is tailor made for us. Only reason they got us last time is a bazzillion frees and we had zero defenders. While I'm not sure how good we actually are Carlton is a match up I like.

Watched Front Bar last night, and thought it was great to see Ben Cousins looking fit & healthy again. He has certainly cleaned himself up, spoke well, and has a purpose in life. I was one to take the pi55 out of him, so I have egg on my face. Great story of redemption. Good luck to him.

Yeah great to see him back on top of things.
My hope is he rights some wrongs especially with his dad and other family members. He would've put them through hell.
The movie/book is going to be monstrous.

Anyone else think the only change to the 8 will be Pies in and Carlton out ?

Essendon, Port and Fremantle vulnerable.

Collingwood and Adelaide the ones to bump them out.

Crows have maximum 8 wins left, that gets them to 11 wins. They are NOT playing finals.

Should beat banged up Brisbane this week, WCE, Hawthorn (X2), Richmond, St Kilda, Bulldogs - then maybe Port which is always 50/50.
