Alright will record my bets in here this year, going to research more than ever, don't mind the preseason as there can be some good opportunites. Im actually 6-1 for the preseason, but obviously wont include these in my running YTD total.

Tonight WCE travel to Sydney, both teams have some class out but was very impressed with the WCE against Freo and Swans usually cruise in the preseason, happy to take the points in on WCE and could even see them winning.

WCE +14.5
1 Unit @ $1.91

Thanks Squids, pretty painless win there, with Sydney's inside midfielders out it was an easy call.

Dont like anything for the weekend games, seem pretty spot on. Too many questions marks over Melbourne, Saints & GWS to risk $.

Anyone have thoughts about Futures betting for the season ahead? Im thinking about taking the Saints for the spoon, they will be the new Melbourne.

Melbourne to win round 1, currently paying $2 and I expect that to come in further. St Kilda will be going into the game without Montagna, Jack Steven and Gilbert.

To get any value for St Kilda winning the spoon, might have to get on quick. Being pantsed by GWS at the moment (I know it's only a trial)

i heard the 5aa show this morning when they were talking odds and thought the saints were too short at about $1.50 from memory

I think the wooden spoon markets have been closed, I can't find any.

still think the giants will win the spoon btw with St Kilda a game or two away.

Melbourne were $2.60 3 weeks back, almost took some of it then but didnt, Saints opened $5 on Betfair for the spoon, now being traded at $2.50....bugga

Collingwood/Freo +4.5 line

Peoples thoughts?

Im leaning Collingwood, will do some more research first but not convinced Freo are firing on all cylinders at this time of year...

Collingwood with a couple of injuries brings them back a bit (White and Reid). Freo usually play alright at Etihad IMHO, reckon I'll be leaving this one alone but am leading toward the haze.

Collingwood 3-0 at ES last year and have started their seasons well in the past 2 years under Bucks, Freo and Saints under Lyon have had only even starts in previous years. Looking at injuries Freo have ore concerns than the Pies with more quality under a cloud. Collingwood have had 3 weeks more preseason prep for the season opener and I really think this makes a difference this time of year.

I think the market is back to front and Collingwood +6.5 looks like a solid bet to kick off.

Reckon GWS +48.5 looks OK as well as Gold Coast as Dogs at home, but will look at them in the coming days

Betting sites have most losses for the year markets now, not wooden spoon.
Is this because of the salary cap and supplements scandals of the previous years and the clubs being stripped of their points but not win/loss records?
St. Kilda most losses for me this year
