An NRL player recently became a quadraplegic. An Aussie Rules player recently had a serious neck injury. Jobe Watson's cousin (I believe) died on field. Recently in Ammos a player had a heart attack and was resuscitated on field.

Ban everything I say! It's too dangerous!

FFS. What a joke.

I've said it before, the only common denominator with death is that people were breathing air. So therefore, ban air, it is the common cause of death.

Exactly right, accidents happen - tragic yes of course, but still an accident none the less, and every one who participates in what ever sport or hobby it may be understands the risks involved. Deal with it. World is turning into a massive girls blouse!

by equestrian im assuming you mean cross country? equestrian is 3 events, showjumping, dressage and cross country. not much bad happens during dressage i give you the big tip. and cross country is funny, i once saw a horse fart as it went over a jump. it was the happiest day of my life!

Hers another perspective
Letter to The Editor , Advertiser

KNACKERED OUTLOOK
What does XX think will happen to horses if she and her ilk are successful in having jumps racing banned ?
The knackery looms, and how does she think it would be better for all the horses to be slaughtered , rather than an occasional one, dying while enjoying itself?
Or maybe she thinks they should be released into the wild,to maybe starve or suffer a slow, painful death after a fall, with no one around with a gun to quickly kill them

these tree huggers totally shit me off, the last time i ventured to oakbank in 2010, driving in, told one hag she was a dry old bitch and to go home and do the housework.

i also consider these people to be blood thirsty, they actually want horses to fall and be destroyed to vindicate their protests

i hate minority groups who have nothing better to do than try and spoil things for the majority, eff off and leave us alone!!

I saw a fall, but the horse then continued to jump the rest of the fences as they normally do, interesting the tree fookers don't report the fact that when horses lose the rider that they keep jumping most of the time

If all these do gooders were worried about animal cruelty, why dont they take a look at the greyhound industry?
More dogs get put down at the track in a week than jumps racing would have in a year...

Honestly i just think the "shock value" of seeing a horse topple over is what is getting to most of these people.
