Might aswell have the one meeting place as the Carnival really kicks up a notch.

Was just thinking this morning, can't recall a less talked about or promoted Caulfield Cup before. Plenty of talk about the Everest in the last month or so, but you could be forgiven for thinking the CC had been cancelled this year.

Racing NSW plan has worked then.
Pierata wins the Everest.

I’ve backed Sound at $301 & then a few times at $251 to win the Melbourne Cup.
He’s into 30th in the order of entry so still need another 6 to drop out to get a start.
He was looking a probable top 5 finish in the Caulfield Cup before getting poleaxed, no doubt he’ll get the 2 miles.

I followed suit with a small nibble at $251/$51. Be awesome if can snag a start.

Ladbrokes have Sound at 300s'boosted still. Even with 3 legs that's worth a niggle.

Cross Counter, Mustajeer, Prince of Arran, Mer De Glace, Marmelo to fight it out.

whats the chances of two dropping out given the winner of the Lexus jumps above it. Will it run in the Lexus itself?

Marmelo and another one are under injury cloud so may not run. However there are a couple going around at kyneton who may cop a weight penalty should they win

What's everyone's plans for Tuesday?

I have the day off but haven't penciled anything in yet.

Spend Sunday working my way through every race, in a comp at the pub where $50 gets you into a $1000 winner takes all.

Pick one in each race for the day, 3-2-1 for 1st-2nd-3rd, so Tuesday I'll be at work watching the first 7 races on my desktop then tear off to the pub by Cup time to watch the last 3 races there.
