Been some interesting names of races/trots/dogs runners
My favorite all time name was a SA galloper in the latter part of last century
Its name
Esra Star

It had several runs until the penny dropped
An applicable form comment for this runner should have been ' well BACKed'
Yes indeed when you read this horses name BACKwards, you will realise why it was banned from using this name !

Today we had a showdown at Globe Derby
R3-5 Eddie [5th]
R3-7 Boak [7th]

Agree with Broadlach
Why kick a moo cow was a brilliant name

Waikikamukau is a town in NZ

I remember the greyhound that use to turn up to HVL and then had to be name changed halfway through its racing career.

I always liked the trotter Pistol Knight

'Pergola' was one I never really understood - why call a horse an inanimate bit of backyard structure?
