"BAYMAN" on youtube will find it for ya spelly! its there

Thanks, stampy, at the moment it's loading very slowly, because of the slowed speed of the internet at the moment.

That's interesting I tried to get on to this site from Victoria about an hour or so ago and it was slower than dial-up. As all the other sites I went to around that time were fine I assumed it was the server this site was on.

Bayman - what committment!

Perhaps it is something going on in the carriers in SA?

As you said, it's your choice, but not every avid follower of an SANFL team could have done that. And you would be paying s**t loads to do that in the AFL (from 1987) to see every match every season for a club you follow.

There was an article in the Herald Sun a couple of years back about a Bulldogs supporter who hadn't missed a game in thirty years including all interstate clashes. That was impressive.

I missed one game in ten years prior to moving to Melbourne. Bloody weddings and I was best man so I couldn't get out of it. So I bow to the Bayman's very impressive record

I think Richmond Cheer Squad President David Norman hasn't missed a game since 1970 including every interstate game. SEN interviewed him one day and he nearly missed a Perth game a few years ago due to ticketing mix up and he ended up paying double to get to Perth via Darwin on 2 internationals flights and go to the game as the first bounce occured.

remember one thing guys & i did say it in the interview but it was edited out & if my dad (mum always worked on saturdays) & or my uncles weren't prepared to take me it would not have been until i was about 15 that i could go by myself so if there is any credit it should be for them making a sacrifice of taking me

If you include other games then it'd well and truly be over 1000. 8)

Sorry for bumping the thread but cracking work bayman and you deserve every bit of credit you receive. Love seeing that kind of stuff on the news as it's a bloody good thing for the SANFL and Glenelg in particular.

The great man is a great money spinner for a lot of sporting venues

A Glenelg games
B Other SANFL games where he will go 1-3 other games as well per round
C AFL at AAMI staduim
D Trots where is seen most nights
E Cricket, often seen at the Adelaide Oval cheering [for whatever side he has backed  ]
F Wrestling venues
G Bay Sheffield running events

As the song once went, " These are a few of my favourite things..."

All in all he has probably been to over 3,000 visits at these sporting venues

C= you can now delete that as i didn't renew my footy park membership because i was very boored at the style of football being played by most teams in the afl (trying not to lose rather than trying to win) & also the very soft interpretations that the umpires must umpire to (not their fault)
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Agree Leftlegger/Bayman
I was with the BAYMAN to see my legs v Glenelg on Saturday
I was most impressed with the lack of soft and overumpiring decisions by the umps.
It is a mans game after all.

BTW
Another game attended by the mighty Bayman
Will he make it to a 1000 in a row ?

Round 18 1966
Port 5.4 8.8 14.11 15.13 (103)
West 0.3 2.8 2.9 5.13 (43)
Alberton, 9250

9249 IF I DIDNT GO !!!!

Thats the game thanks SPELLY thanks
How did I forget that year after what happened in the AFL !

Just to make sure Spelly about 5-00 oclock there was a thunderstorm in the Western suburbs
Do you have the weather charts as well ?

Upon finding this site with all recorded weather archives mal, http://www.australianweathernews.com/da ... 966_08.HTM I thought about this post.
Because rainfall is reported for that day at 9am (thus any rainfall recorded for one day is likely to have happened the previous day), it shows that any downpour would have happened on the following day (that match was on the 20th of August).

However, the previous year that Port played West at Alberton:

Round 20 1965 (4th of Sept)
Port 3.7 5.9 10.10 12.16 (88)
West 3.3 5.6 7.8 8.11 (59)
Alberton, 6072

http://www.australianweathernews.com/da ... 965_09.HTM

there was rainfall recorded which was likely to have fallen that day. If you are definite that the 1966 match was your first match, it's possible that the rainfall was very localised. If not, the match you first attended could well have been in 1965.

Connie Osborne
Heres a story
The 85 year old wonder women, MAY in fact have the uniquest of records
It was reported on ABC today that she has never missed a Norwood game
If that is corrrect that is quite an effort
Connies dad played for NW back in the 1920s
And 29/5/2010 is a significant day for Connie TOMorrow

Perhaps the great Bayman and Connie should sit with each other at the next NW V GL game
