droughts at opposition ovals

spelly, what is the longest period in years and matches that a club has failed to win at an away ground?
i know the bays didnt win at elizabeth between 93 and 07 nor at alberton between 94 and 07, are there any worse than that?

I would bet that Torrens never won at Prospect from 1966 until 1983 which is rather incredible when you consider how ordinary some of the North teams were between 1975 and 1983.

bloody hell! lucky south won at alberton in '67 or it would have been a 50 year losing streak :shock:

9 wins and 22 losses. 7 of those wins were consecutive between 1999 and 2006 - it took Sturt 8 goes from its' return to Unley to defeat them. That represented a 22 year gap between wins.

Yes, I borrowed those from another thread, and have added a few more I missed in copying and pasting. Interestingly Torrens' three wins in 1981 consisted of two against North and one against Central (plus one draw against West). The other meeting was at Prospect. And there was no meeting at Prospect in 1979.

Definitely La Nina at Elizabeth and not El Niño ... no droughts in sight.
