Anything to do with the history of the SANFL

Ah, some real classics nominated above.

So far I like these in particular:

Snout hitting the post to leave the Bays stranded on 49 goals
Norm Dare hiding in the crowd to avoid the count
the train siren sounding at Elizabeth. (I think this happened in an AFL game recently too?)

I'm also salivating at an ad with a re-enactment of Stan Wickham riding his bike out.

Cmon folks, please keep them coming! ;)
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

One of the Gowans boys tackling the 'pitch invader' during a final at Adelaide Oval a couple of seasons ago?

Ian Hanna's comeback (and final) game in the last ever Torrens v Woodville match when he came on in the last quarter with a fist pump and then the holding the ball in the goal square. Classic moment!!!

Life FM are playing an interview with former umpire Robin Bennett right now.

Edit: they mentioned the on field count incident in the lead up, but seemed to cut the interview short

Did they talk about the day a Port Adelaide supporter attacked him on the field?

No, from memory they really only covered his transition to umpiring (from playing in amateur league) and early matches.
He did recall where Robert Oatey dudded Ken Eustice on the coin toss with a double headed coin!
Eustice complained and Bennett made Oatey toss the coin again...

He was also the umpire in that 19th man match too! Very short interview for a man who was involved in some sensational matches!

Aerie, that was a terrific moment.
He'd comeback from a serious swimming pool injury and put on a bit of weight.
Took the bench as it was the last Torrens game.
A brilliant footballer.
I believe the wedgeman is a family friend of sorts ?

If the coin was double headed, why did they toss it again? :)

It's a two part interview, part two will be played next week on the Life FM finals coverage, where other incidents, like the count, are discussed.
