The best summary for him. I can't believe this bloke gets any sort of positive discussion or "kudos" in terms of SANFL Footall History.

How would you like Sims to be remembered?

Granger had talent. In the old highlights tapes I have he looked to be a masterful CHF. Huge leap, thumping kick, great contested mark, pacey and could read the game well. Anyone that denies that Granger had talent doesnt know a thing about our game.

Now there's a reference source.....

I agree with you that TT is not a good source generally, but this was on the 20 to 1 Sporting Controversies show and the words actually came out of Grave's mouth
In between signatures .....

I never said he didn't have talent but he couldn't harness his temper and aggression which sadly labelled him a thug beause of what he did in terms of that part of his game. Sims hit one bloke in a GF so that is a very poor comparison.

You also forgot the fact that Granger is a convicted drug dealer so read my post again - nothing about him not being talented but the fact is he was a thug and is a convicted criminal so you can gloss it up all you like with the talent bit.

A horse called
GRAVE DANGER ran midfield in Race 1 at Casterton today in a Maiden race

As for DAVE GRAINGER I can only say watching NW V PA games that he was involved
in that his behaviour was good, never a problem
I used to roll up at games expecting fireworks that never eventuated.
He seemed to misbehave against certain clubs.

Interesting how lots of judgements towards Granger on here, but his crimes are quite insigificant compared to those of at least 2 other ex SANFL footballers, one ex Glenelg player and one ex West Adelaide player, who both did/are doing significant jail time.

One of the crimes i'm referring to is fraud and no doubt most people would know the player referred to is, and the other one i'm referring to is a lesser known player, who i wont mention, and i wont mention what he was convicted of as i know thats very touchy on here, but nonethless i think a little perspective isn't a bad thing.

The ex West Adelaide player made the front page of the Sunday Mail for that reason. But yeah, I reakon people will know who he is.
