Tim Evans stats might be a bit out.

They don't list Burnie as one of his senior clubs...

I agree, an all time great SANFL full forward, but in his Magarey year I reckon he was the recipient of some Rolls Royce delivery from the Magpie midfield.

You gotta question that list...

4000 + goals......150 goals / season for 26 years....even over an extended career of 40 that's 100/season.

Scott Hodges isn't even on that list and I'm sure he would've kicked more than the bottom listed player on 520 goals..so did Greenslade, Davies etc...

And Fred Phillis, Roger Woodcock, Lindsay Head... ;)

I think that website does make an effort to acknowledge all states, but most contributors would be from Victoria.

Scotty ended up on 690 goals.

Davies kicked something like 781.

As far as I know, Timmy didn't play for Penguin.

Only Burnie.

Then again, it might not have been at senior level either...

I know the guy was a Champion Ruckman, however Rick Davies was also a Champion full forward. The best I have seen put on a Double Blue jumper.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Spot on Sturt 1. He played almost his entire career around the center, and just went forward in his later years to see his career out and bang, he's suddenly a 100+ goals full forward! Imagine if he had played that position his whole career!
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Here is an E-mail I received from Tassie footy expert Ross Smith

Hello James.

Cannot find any reference to Tim Evans playing a senior game in NWFU.

The Encyclopedia of AFL Players lists his birthdate as August 1953, and shows his debut with Geelong as 1971, so he's quite young. Until evidence is found otherwise, I think we have to regard his NWFU career as zero, both ganes and goals. Indeed I cannot even confirm which club he was with.

Cheers
Ross

The best I have seen in country footy would be S.Loveless, P.Meka, G.Excell and C.Stulhdrier. Stulhdrier the best absoulte gun in the Goulburn Valley Football Leauge, played for Kyabram for bout 10 years kicking ton after ton, even when they struggled he would kick his ten a game.

I think the best one in SA country footy at the moment would be Stuart Cooper who plays for Kingston. Absolute gun from what i've heard, kicked 18 on the weekend, think he kicked over 150 last year.
