Most number of clubs with 4 teams in finals in a year

In 1984 Glenelg, Norwood and Port had all four grades in the finals - the only time three teams have had this occur in the same season from 1964.

Two clubs have had four teams in the finals in the following years:

1973 - Norwood, Port
1975 - Glenelg, Norwood
1979 - Port, South
1982 - Norwood, Sturt
1983 - Norwood, Sturt
1986 - Norwood, Port
1988 - Glenelg, Port
1989 - Norwood, Port
1990 - Norwood, Port
1991 - Port, South
1993 - Eagles, Glenelg
1997 - Central, Norwood
1998 - Norwood, Port
2000 - Eagles, Port
2005 - North, Port

One club with 4 grades in finals in a year:

1965 Norwood
1966 North
1967 Glenelg
1970 Sturt
1972 North
1974 Norwood
1976 Glenelg
1977 Port
1978 Norwood
1980 Port
1981 Port
1985 Norwood
1994 Central
1995 Norwood
1996 Port
1998 Norwood
1998 Port
1999 Eagles
2001 Eagles
2004 Central
2006 Eagles

Under the 10 team comp, there was never all 10 teams represented at least once - only 9 on a number of occasions.
Since 1991 under the 9 team comp, all teams were represented at least once in 1992, 2006 and 2007.

The lowest amount of clubs to be represented in a season was in 1998 - 6 clubs - Central, Eagles, Norwood, Port, Sturt and West. There have been many occasions where 7 teams was represented in either the 9 or 10 team format.

The last time each team had no reps in a season:

Central - 1991
Eagles - none (as Torrens - 1982, Woodville - 1990)
Glenelg - 2004
North - 2002
Norwood - 2005
Port - 2004
South - 2001
Sturt - 2001
West - 2000

This is the same stat, from 1947 to 1963:

Three clubs had four teams in the finals in 1952 - North, Port and Torrens. Norwood almost made it a clean sweep, with three teams, West made up the other - 2nd in the Reserves.

Two teams:
1947 - Norwood, Port
1951 - Port, Torrens
1953 - Port, Torrens
1955 - Port, Torrens

One team:
1948 - Torrens
1949 - Torrens
1950 - Torrens
1954 - Port
1956 - Port
1957 - Torrens
1962 - Port

All teams participated in the 1950 and 1958 finals series.

9 teams participated in the 1961 and 1963 finals series.
