Highest score after going goalless in the first half?

Postby scott » Sat May 17, 2008 8:19 pm

Spelly does this go mildly close from the Under 19s today?

Norwood 6.5 11.10 13.15 20.22 (142)
North Adelaide 0.3 0.5 6.5 9.7 (61)

North didn't even have the wind in the third quarter either and still managed 6.0

Now Scotty, you just watch while some big bad moderator moves this to the "Ask Spelly" forum.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

I recall the 1971 League Grand Final where Port Adelaide only had 0-3 in the board at half time, ended up with 9-5, including a 7 goal final term.

I love that one because it would surely have to be the only time that a club has won after going goalless for the first half and getting outscored in the 3rd quarter! How ropeable would a Blues supporter have been after that day?!

The other two occasions were the 1.4 vs 0.5 match in 1909 and the Challenge Final Replay in 1919.

What about the other way round:

Highest half time score with virtually nothing added after half time ??
