We have Mike Patterson, Geoff Strang, and Robbert Klomp. Who was the fourth player to play in both a VFL and SANFL premiership team in the 1960s & 1970s?

I believe the answer may be Malcolm Hill - Hawthorn '61 and Sturt '66.

Yes it was Malcolm Hill who also played in the 68 & 69 flags for Sturt as well.

The amazing thing is that Hill played 62 games for 4 premierships. The most unheralded 4-time premiership player I can think of.

Even more remarkable, his final 4 games were 3 winning Grand Finals. You may be right about him being unheralded, but as A Hawthorn supporter I'm only too aware of his place in history as a member of Hawthorn's 1st ever premiership team.

Jack Oatey bought him to Adelaide from the Riverland for the finals in 65, 66, 68 & 69 with great success. Not sure why he didn't come in 1967, perhaps Sturt supporters can shed some light on it. They had Doc Clarkson and Greg Weir so maybe he wasn't needed that year.
