Is Sturt's last 4 matches the worst in regard to losing average and aggregate?
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

I'll get back to you on that one, off had I don't think it is - Woodville in 1982 comes to mind, South in 1988 also.

I guess for Ecky not as much satisfaction out of the loss against North, but still it's always nice to see records broken (as long as we win tomorrow)

Do you hold half time records Spelly?

If so, where does the Port v West halftime score sit in the scheme of other Port v West games.

17.5 v 12.3 is a very high half time score.

They both should have gone on with the job and kick a phenomenal score - Port 200+ and West 120+... 8) :)

Never mind, anyway, it was the 23rd highest scoring half ever, and the 8th highest 1st half total ever.

It was the highest scoring half ever between the two teams, previously was 25.12 (162) - West 11.5 Port 14.7, 1st half, Round 10 1975 at Richmond.

17.5 is a record first half score by Port against West.

26.9 (165) is the 2nd highest 3 quarter time score by South against Sturt - 27.6 (168) was scored in Round 2 1995 by South.

It is the highest ever 3 quarter time score against Sturt at Unley - previously it was 21.14 (140), twice by Norwood, Round 11 1950 and North Round 2 1951.

Souths' previous best 3 quarter time score at Unley was 19.19 (133) which was actually against West Adelaide, Round 16 1935. Against Sturt it was 17.10 (112), Round 8 1984.

The full time score of 29.12 (186) is the 2nd highest ever score against Sturt at Unley, the record is 31. 7 (193), by Eagles in Round 16 of this year.

IThe previous record by South at Unley was 24.26 (170), in the above match against West Adelaide in 1935 and against Sturt was 24.15 (159) in the above match in 1984.

Another equal record I missed, was that Port equalled their 2nd quarter record against West - they also kicked 10.4 (64) in Round 3 1936 at Alberton
