Its seems that Port Adelaide Bill Griffiths won the award with 16 votes not P.E Bitmead of West Adelaide who had 15 votes along with J. Ettridge (WT) and R. Koene (NAFC)
Looks like an error in the Dion Hayman Book
Can anyone else confirm - I found this info in the 1965 GF edition of the Footy Budget
