Four in a row ??

Ok - I probably should know this, and it is a bit indulgent, but if the Dogs get up, who was the last club to do it and when?

Glad I wasn't alive for that, can you imagine watching the same team in the grand final 5 years in a row? i-)

Didn't Sturt "win" four wooden spoons in a row back in the 90's?

A few other clubs had 3 in a row but as far as I can tell, no club actually has an unbroken run of 4 in a row...

Central - (2003,2004,2005) & (2007,2008,2009)

Port - (1994,1995,1996) & (1988,1989,1990) & (1979,1980,1981)*

Norwood - (1887,1888,1889)*

*Both Norwood and Port have also won 6 in a row with the Legs reign from 1878 through 1883 and the Maggies from 1954 through 1959.

Also, Port played in 6 GF's in a row from 1994 through 1999 winning all the flags in that period except 1997 when Norwood won the Premiership.

This was how the Egyptian Advertiser recorded those games from the 1100's

The pattern indicates we will claim four in a row followed by a runner-up in 2011. Then move on to five in a row after that. One step at a time folks.

OK just to be pedanic (BECAUSE I AM BORING) I would like to challenge the Norwood runs in the 1800s. In those days the minor premier won the flag because there were no finals - like UK soccer. So I say as they didn't have to play in a GF then they don't count.
