You can add Drew Clayfield to the list, made his debut for the Bays on Sunday.

Ricky Henderson recently made his league debut for Centrals as well and could have either / both Ben Nason and Luke Habel tomorrow against Westies.

Spelly,

In your list you have listed a Dean Schulz for Glenelg. He played back in the early 1970s. I always thought his name was Dean Schutz, and that is how they listed it in the Football Budget.

Changed that AH, and I'll get around to updating the stuff I haven't soon.

You have a Douglas Warhurst playing for both West Adelaide and North Adelaide. The North Adelaide player was Dudley Arthur Warhurst, not Douglas Warhurst. He played in the late 1930s and was selected in a state squad. He then captain coached West Whyalla during the second World War. He died in the early 1990s.

Yep Dudley Arthur Warhurst died 1992

WAFC player was Alfred Douglas Warhurst (Was known by his middle name)

Very similar initials though!

You have Michael Dittmar as Port, South, North. This is incorrect.

Michael Dittmar senior played at Port and South, Michael Dittmar junior played at North

Spelly, how many games did Troy Deron end up playing for Sturt in the mid '90's?

My apologies for being late on the question ORDB, but Troy DeRon played 20 matches between 1995 and 1996, and has 13 goals and 7 behinds in that time to his credit.

Ok, I've gone through the list of 2000 to 2009 players and have found an additional 91 players.

Those players are either debutants in 2009 or other players overlooked.

Such as:
Carl Morris - Glenelg
Michael Oldfield - Glenelg
Daniel Reavill - Glenelg
Peter Shepherd - West
Chris Stacey - Eagles
Ashley Westbrook - West

Spelly, I've been looking at your list for a while, particularly from a Sturt perspective, and I reckon I've found three more Double Blue players for you. Edward Hawker played 19 games from 1927-30, J.Leverington played one game in 1914 and J.Jackson played 8 games in 1958. Also noticed in your recent 2009 updates that a couple of fellas who've recently left the league have not been credited with their second SANFL club. They are Nathan Twomey who was with your lot before heading for the hills, and Chris Hall who apparently has left Glenelg to play for Mannum.

Thanks for those. :) However, Twomey only managed 3 Reserves games for us in 2008 and did not play League.

Just shows it's a lot harder to get a game at the Eagles than at South. Sorry, should've said four new players. Left out J.P. Jackett who played 19 games in 1911-12. And on a slightly different tack, I agree with what others have said here about Klynton Kitto, Joe/Lyn Humphrey and Carl Herbert.

Spelly, some off-season suggestions for your list. Advance apologies if I seem to get pedantic at times.
John Bannigan Sturt was known by his second name of Murray
Mostyn Bannister Norwood Bit of typing dyslexia there
Barrie Barbary North Woodville Spelt the same way as the great Rooster himself
Michael Bilucaglia North West
Tracy Braidwood Torrens no 'e' in Tracy
Jack Broadstock West & Torrens There was only one Jack Broadstock and he played for both clubs
Can I suggest John V Cahill Jnr Port and John V Cahill Snr South
Laurie Cahill never played for Port
Royl Chardon Sturt That's Roy with an 'l' on the end and surname ending in 'n[, not 'm'
Bob Chervatin Port not Chervaton
Victor Cook Glenelg also played for South
Greg Cramey Sturt I've never heard of Phil; Greg played in the early 70s
J and James Darragh is the same person and played for both Sturt and South
I C and Ian Edwards is the same person and played for both Glenelg and South
Glenn Elliott played for both Port and Torrens (and is now trying to be CEO of two clubs simultaneously)
Trevor Ettridge Torrens & Woodville I know someone has said that there were two Trevor Ettridges, but that's a little hard to believe when both clubs apparently had a Trevor Wayne Ettridge on their list and their similar careers neatly dovetail with just a year off in between
Bernie Farelly does not exist but Bernie Farrelly played for both South and Norwood
Sturt's Craig Fielke played for them only, not for Centrals or West
Monty Footer Torrens Interesting one this; not saying he didn't exist, but Edwin R. (Monty) Foote retired in 1938. Torrens' rapid decline in the early years of WWII suggests that they may have been short of players by 1941 and that Monty Foote may have made a temporary comeback to help them out
Max Gasparroni West double 'r'
Tibor Godrik Woodville no 'c' in Godrik
Macgregor Grummett South
Heath Grundy never played for North
Stuart Hamish Glenelg does not exist, but you do have Hamish Stuart Glenelg on your list
H H and Jim Handby is the same person and played for both South and Glenelg (known by his nickname)
J P Headon Sturt is John
S A Headon Sturt is Stan
H Hicks Sturt is Henry

More to come

Thank you again, I'll update it when you have added more info for me. :)

Also, I notice no debutants since 2007 are on this main list, so they will be on there next time.

Some more suggestions Spelly

Frank Holden and Frank T. Holden is the same person and played for North, Norwood and Sturt
H. Humphreys Sturt is Bert (short for Herbert)
Russell Hutton played for Woodville and Sturt
S.W. Jeffries and (Sir) Shirley Jeffries is the same person and played for Norwood and Sturt. Surely the only Shirley (first name) to play league footy, but not the only Sir.
H.W. Johnston Sturt is Herbert
Dick Jones Torrens and Richard Jones Glenelg is the same person
C.P.S. Jorgensen Sturt is Carl
Jack Kay and J.L. Kay is the same person and played for Sturt, Norwood and South
B.P. King Sturt is Brian (did not play for any other club)
D.E Kirchner Sturt should be A.E
Peter Kreig Central North should be Peter Krieg - not the same as the Woodville player
A. Lasenky Sturt should be Arthur Lasehky
Lance Leak and Lance Leake is the same person and played without the 'e' for Sturt and Glenelg
H. and Hector Lingwood-Smith is the same person and played for Sturt and South
Haydn Linke Glenelg no 'e' in Haydn
Rick Macgowan Central North all one word, no capital 'G'
Howard Manuel played for North and West
Geof Motley Port looks odd, but just the one 'f'
Harold Nicolle Sturt known by his second name of Ivor
C.B. Parsons Sturt is Charlie (or Charles)
J.L.Pelzar and Leonard Pelzer is the same person and played for Glenelg and Sturt (Pelzer is correct)
Frederick Perry Norwood should be (Sir) Frank (of the once famous Perry Engineering firm)
Cecil Pimmington Glenelg should be Pinnington
Brian Ploenges South should be Bryan
William and William T. Powell is the same person and played for Port, South and Glenelg
Adam Richardson Central West is not right - these are two different players
Kim Richardson Torrens should be Kym; the former member for Kingston who had a little problem with the law recently
James Rimington Eagles should be Rimmington - one of your own!

should be able to wrap this up next time

Thanks again! :) However, I'm certain that it is Rimington - both the Eagles website and Football Budget has one m and not two.

Sorry about Rimington Spelly. I should've re-checked my source. I'd always thought he had just the one 'm' and was surprised to see it with two. Not that reliable a source apparently.
