On those numbers,
3 - Eagles
2 - Central
4 - Norwood
12 - Sturt
10 - Glenelg
10 - South
10 - North
8 - West
5 - Port
Just confirms a long-held view that I just can't understand what a number of clubs like Glenelg, South and North and Sturt etc are doing in the competition if they are this bad???
Shame on them I say. Good work Spelly in re-stating Parade superiority in suprising (I know I can't believe it) hard times for the lads in red and blue.

Que?
All that proves is that when clubs like Norwood and Centrals win the same teams invariably win....

The number of rounds that have had four winners in them (no draws) from 1991 is 355.
14 rounds have had draws in them from 1991 - none have occured in a 3 match round, or two draws in the same round.
30 rounds have have only 3 matches in them from 1991 - two each in every year, except for 1991, 1992, 1994 and 1995 which only had 1 three match round.
Therefore there have been a total of 399 rounds since 1991 and 51 byes for each team. So out of 348 rounds, this is the number of minor round wins for each team:
227 - Central
224 - Eagles
212 - Port
189 - Norwood
147 - West
146 - North
145 - Sturt
132 - South
129 - Glenelg
Roughly the same to your table, roger:
2 - Central
3 - Eagles
4 - Norwood
5 - Port
8 - West
10 - Glenelg
10 - South
10 - North
12 - Sturt

Well, I was just doing a bit of random hook-baiting, and you've (yet again) surprised the hell out of me with a second table that shows us winning a lot more games over the period than I actually thought we might have won.
I just wanted an excuse really to raise 1975, 1982 etc etc with Harry the Horse. A big hello to Harry when he next signs on.

I'll get around to doing the same for the other periods:
1901-1920 - I do have the results from 1899 onwards
1921-1963
1964-1990
At the moment, I'll have a look and work out the combinations of any given three teams winning in a round - so it can use all the 399 rounds.
Example: Central, Eagles and Glenelg have won 25 times in the same round - one of those being a 3 match round.

All 84 three team combinations have happened at least three times:
Most: Central Eagles and Port - 42 times
Least: Glenelg North and Sturt; Glenelg South and Sturt - 3 times
Out of the 35 two team combinations:
Most: Central and Eagles 116 times
Least: Glenelg and North 18 times

Again, with this Glenelg lot. These guys need a mirror, and a long hard look into it.

You'll have to disregard this stat, I did a recount and Glenelg and North have won in the same round on 40 occasions.

Whats the win tally since 1991 now Spelly??
I reckon we are almost past westies (156 to 154 now along with Sturt and North)
So the most wins would be:
Centrals
Eagles
Port
Norwood
Sturt
North
Glenelg
West
South
Can't believe I'm getting excited about winning more games in a 19 year epcoh than West or South

The round after I updated this thread saw another combination struck off the "to do" list. North, Port, Sturt and West won in Round 15. Now there is 11 to go.
