Glenelg 2.2 3.2 (20)

Semi Finals:

Norwood 0.1 5.2 (32)
Sturt 0.0 2.1 (13)

Torrens 0.1 2.4 (16)

Spelly you might want to dig up the results for the "nine a side" lightning carnival held at Wayville during some sort of sports expo in 1993 (?). All I remember is the Bays knocked Port out then themselves got knocked out by North, who went on to beat Central in the final.

I don't have any results on this, but when in the year did this happen? I could find out next time for you.

I remember it well, bloody hot sitting in the Wayville stands watching the mighty Roosters win a premiership.

It was part of a sports "fair" (for lack of better word) held at Wayville.

Spelly don't know if you are aware but there was a lightning Premiership held during the war on August 28th 1943. It was to raise money for The Childrens Hospital.
The Prize was a trophy donated by the SANFL and 20 quid.

N-NA 1.3 2.8(20)
PA-WT1.2 2.6(18)

WA-G 3.1 10.2 (62)
S-SA 4.5 4.5 (29)

N-NA 4.2 5.7 (37)
WA-G 4.5 4.9 (33)

Didja go and look at the "fair" at all Wedgie? I went and had a look around in between the Bays games. All I remember now is the lasses on the Women's Football League stall grabbing my missus and giving her the hard-sell recruitment spiel

(4th) West 2.2 2.4 (16)
(2nd) Glenelg 2.2 2.2 (14)

(3rd) Port 1.2 2.4 (16)
(1st) Norwood 2.2 2.2 (14)

Semi Finals:
Sturt 1.4 2.6 (18)
South 0.3 2.5 (17)

Were the 1947 L/Carnival games held at the Adelaide Oval?

Only 1950 - 24/6/50. I'm alright with the 1943 details, but thanks for asking. :)

Alright, thanks to Panto for this, the scores I had as 1951 were actually the 1946 carnival.

It was a One Day Knockout Premiership for the Gosse Shield held at Adelaide Oval for the Adelaide Childrens Hospital and won by Norwood North Football Club.
(coincidentally I took this photo of Norwood's Gosse Shield about 7-8 years ago in their old clubrooms - North also have one I think)

Enjoy
