Wondered about this one; excluding State or composite matches, what is the most number of different Magarey Medallists to compete in one SANFL match? I wondered if it may be a Port v Glenelg game in the 70's, with the likes of Ebert, Woite, Phillis playing around the same era.

Good question. In a West v Norwood in the late 20's. You potentially could have had Walter Scott, Alec Lill, Bruce McGregor and Bob Snell playing the same game. Or Glenelg vs North in 1940 potentially had Pash and Hawke lining up against Johnston and Brock.
There is potentially a couple of others.
I had a quick glance at the Magarey Medal winners and I can't see a chance of more than 4 in one game, but prepared to be proved wrong.
I suppose it depends if you are counting Magarey Medalists already won or players who went onto win a Magarey as well.

I don't have a definitive answer, but a possible one - Round 9 2002 between Sturt and Port had Damian Squire, Brodie Atkinson, Anthony Brown and Ryan O'Connor in it. Also, the two winners of that year played in it - Tim Weatherald and Jade Sheedy and the following years winner, Brett Ebert.
