Similarly the most number of matches in a row for a team to do the opposite is 6:

North between Round 15 1958 and the Preliminary Final of that year: They scored 145 points in Round 14, then scored 129, 83, 81, 71, 63 and 60 points.
Norwood between Rounds 8 and 13 1981: With 142 points in Round 7, Norwood then scored 123, 121, 87, 80, 75 and 58 points.
Sturt between Rounds 4 and 9 1982: Scoring 192 points in Round 3, the following weeks went downhill, but all were over 100 points! That's the 80s for you: 164, 160, 150, 135, 123 and 109 points.
West in the opening six weeks of 1989: Round 22 1988 they scored 141 points, then to start 1989 they scored 130, 126, 114, 107, 89 and 69 points.
Central between Rounds 10 and 16 2002: Scoring 225 points in Round 9, this continued with scores of 163, 154, 131, 125, 80 and 71 points.

Using the first criteria, but against a team; yet again the record is 6 matches. But only once has it occured:

Eagles between the Elimination Final of 1996 and Round 4 1997: Round 23 1996 had 61 points scored against, followed by 62, 80, 85, 88, 107 and 114 points.

Now for the 2nd scenario, against a team. Once again, 6 is the record, and the only time for this to occur:

Port between Rounds 10 and 15 1975: Conceding 133 points in Round 9, Port conceded 112, 89, 83, 78, 70 and 46 points in the following rounds.
