Very very belated question

Last Norwood player to kick 9? (No, don't say "Taylor Walker 10 days ago".)

I reckon it's a long time. Apart from the recent blossoming of Vlatko, we haven't really had a traditional spearhead for a while. I'll take a punt that Chris "Tractor" Prime did it at some point (and that Jim West didn't). I know that Mark Ducker kicked 14 in 1991, but Prime-time post-dated that, I think.

Walker is certainly the first player in history to kick 9 the next game after his whole team only kicked one goal! (Go on-- contradict me-- I dare ya!)

Pascoe kicked 10 in 1996.

How could I have forgotten Andrew Pascoe? The guy who went within a fraction of a second of taking the mark in front that would have won us the 1999 GF.

Actually, that's probably why.

Jarrod Cotton kicked 10.3 in Round 16 2002.

I can safely say no to your last question. ;)

Scott Bassett booted 9 v North Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, 14th July 2001.

Jarrod Cotton kicked 10? Scott Bassett, a defender, kicked 9?

Gee, Norwood used to get up to some funny stuff back when they were a winning side. Who knows: a few more 9s and we may be again.
