I am tipping this might be harder stat for you to find Spelly!

How many Born Again Christians have there been as players in the SANFL?

I can start your list with two names,

Michael Aish, - Norwood.
Trevor Sapwell, - Norwood, Woodville.

Would it matter if it was just the one category in that they are not "born-again", rather those who have been Christians all their lives? Ben Hollands would be one to fit into the one category, as well as Paul Bagshaw.

That sounds fine Spelly, although a theologian might differ with you on whether or not someone can be a Christian from birth or not! - the term comes from the New Testament were Jesus confuses the teachers of the Jewish law by stating "you must be Born Again", and they wonder how this can be possible - having missed the point of what it was that he meant by that statement.

I am pretty sure that Doug Oakley interviewed him on LifeFM at the time when Sturt were in some trouble and they held a rally at Unley Oval which later on was recognised as one of the moments that they (Sturt) began to turn things around.

I was of the opinion that if you were born again, it was kind of like accepting the faith after not really having an interest in it. I'm not sure myself on that, anyway. ;)

John Halbert is another that comes to mind.

Played close to 200 games for Sturt from the mid-60s to the mid 70s, and played in their 5 premierships from 1966-1970. Also played a handful of matches for South Australia.

I used to knock around with Rady back in the early 80s. I never did ask him what he did for a living, but I'd be pretty sure preaching wouldn't have been it :)
