Stanley H Lewis querie

Hi Spelly,

Question. West League side finished the year on 200 points, 50 fewer then the reserves & 70 fewer then the 19's, and only
40 points ahead of the 17's...

How often has it happened where two lower grades have beaten the league side, and the point difference between the
league and 17's been so small? And has the reserves, 19's, 17's ever beaten the League side in the one year?

Cheers

Sturt's league side suffered a winless season back in the nineties. Presumably the reserves and junior grades all had at least one win, thereby surpassing the league side on the S.H.Lewis tallies.

Psuedo has got one of them, the answers to your last query is:
1964 - Central, 0 League; 30 Reserves; 3 19s; 2 17s (0 League wins, 6 Reserves wins, 1 19s win, 1 17s win)
1969 - South, 20, 40, 36, 24 (2, 8, 12, 12)
1995 - Sturt, 0, 12.5, 12, 18 (0, 2.5, 4, 9)
2006 - West, 200, 550, 540, 260 (2, 11, 18, 13)

Also, here are the instances where the 17s points equal the League:
1962 - South, 30, 32.5, 43.5, 30 (3, 6.5, 14.5, 15)
1999 - South, 200, 650, 450, 200 (2, 13, 15, 10)
2002 - Glenelg, 300, 550, 435, 300 (3, 11, 14.5, 15)

In 1996, for a reason I don't know, the points system was altered from 10, 5, 3, 2 to 100, 50, 30, 20.

Wow. A stat about mediocrity that doesn't feature Woodville. :)
