Longest Winning Streaks against Port

At the moment Glenelg, Sturt and Centrals all have built up reasonable winning/non-losing streaks against Port.

How do they rank on the all-time list of winning/non-losing streaks by any club against Port?
I suspect they are all high on the list...

IIRC, we're currently on our equal highest, of about 6 or 7. I didn't realise you guys had racked up that many, but I suppose a few last year and couple this year, you must be pushing 5 or so.

P.S. Any chance you could change your avatar. I was 9 when we heard that match on the radio. Only saving grace was we beat you when we next met, amazing turn-around (across seasons and all)...

... which is exactly the same number of characters in the word BITCHES!, including the exclamation mark!

(just sinking the boot while I still have the chance. Lord knows it might be 100 years before this happens again)

Most in a row Norwood have defeated Port is 10 from 7/7/84 to 5/7/87. Those were good times :)

The Bays have five ATM, but with a draw in June 2007 and two wins prior to that we have a Psuedo says a non-losing streak of 8 games.

I was a bit surprised when I first saw '8' mentioned, but realising that a draw took place the Subject of the thread was a bit misleading for an '8' result.

Would have to be glenelg's glory days to have 8 non losses to Port. Might take another GF to break the run, eh!

2 at Alberton, 2 at Norwood, and 6 at Football Park. SANFL loved Norwood v Port Adelaide matches at Football Park :)

Bummer, I was convinced it was three at Alberton. Obviously the trip from the other side of town to Alberton / Footy Park just blended in to each other. Certainly, games at the Parade were always jam packed and you had to be there by midday.

Thanks Spelly :)

It looks like there is a fair chance Norwood's record of 10 will be broken soon with the 3 current streaks belonging to the current 3 top teams, and Port not showing any improvement lately.

So to be a pedant our actual current winning streak is five.

I'm pretty sure there was a run of 3 at Alberton, but it was actually more recently -late 90s or early 2000s.

Reckon the Peckers managed 1 in a row on a few occasions!

One win on four separate occasions, as well as the three wins in a row in Round 18 1986, 1st Semi of 1986 and Round 9 1987.

It was three on both occasions, Interceptor. That 10 match streak included two wins at Alberton, but the previous meeting at Alberton before that streak was also a win for Norwood (Round 2 1983).

Round 11 1999, Round 18 2000 and Round 22 2001 was the more recent three match winning streak.
