Most consecutive losses by the eventual premier

Spellmaster,

What is the largest number of consecutive losses suffered in a season by the eventual premier?

IIRC Glenelg lost 4 in a row in 1986 but I cannot be arsed pulling out Pride Of The Bay to check. I reckon this might have been bettered (worsed?) though. Norwood 1984 and Glenelg 1934 being obvious candidates.

5 - Sturt Rd 9 to 13 1932
4 - Torrens Rd 5 to 8 1945
4 - West Rd 6 to 9 1947
4 - Glenelg Rd 7 to 10 1985
4 - Glenelg Rd 4 to 7 1986

Glenelg started 1934 with 3 losses, then a draw, then another loss. Norwood lost 3 in a row in 1984.

Doesn't quite qualify for this list but Sturt won its first 17 games in 1970, then promptly lost the last three of the minor round (albeit only by six, five and nine points) giving up the minor premiership to Port in the process. The Double Blues then recovered to win the second semi and grand finals.
