can you please tell me how many winners in the past 20 years are south australians seeing neither of this years were actually local boys.

Buckley could perhaps be classed as a South Aussie, but didn't qualify to play for SA in State of Origin.

I don't know if that means we've done well to attract interstate talent of if we should be alarmed? It reflects our state side which seems to have turned into spot the South Australian. Some of the recruiting is replacing SA players now in the AFL who would have won medals if they stayed.

I guess it is what it is.

5 players recruited from the SANFL have won Brownlow Medals since 1987, so I guess it's only fair to pick up some quality players from elsewhere to compensate.
