The similarity that struck me was with another game rather closer to the end of the season, 30 years ago:
1980 GF: Port Adelaide 11.15 (81) Norwood 9.9 (63).

As well, I happened to notice the 1st Semi Final scores were one point more for each side than the Grand Final last year:
