More sentimental than anything, but earlier this year termites got into my collection of footy budgets and footy times, lot's of editions from the 80's and some back to the 70's and even 60's GF's. Had to get rid of about half of them

I have some great budgets from the 60s and 70s but most treasured is a 1961 (Premiership year) membership badge, unenamelled, extremely rare and retrieved from the archives of the badge manufacturer.

My recollection was that Melbourne's Robert Flower and Brian Wilson whinged to
the VFL (for the same reason).

That's news to me
My recollection was that Melbourne's Robert Flower and Brian Wilson whinged to
the VFL (for the same reason).

It took footy adminstrators some time to make this decision. I recall Sturt's Kym Stoeckel back in 1966 having his career ended after having a finger caught up in a lace up.
