Todays Round, the most number of scoring shots since R 6 '94

There was 136.123 (939) scored today, a total of 259 scoring shots.

This is the highest since 262 scoring shots or 139.123 (957) was scored in Round 6 1994.

939 points was the highest scoring round since Round 22 2000, when 152.87 (999) was scored.

All matches had over 60 scoring shots, this happened in Round 3 last year and the previous occasion before that was in Round 17 1993 - 150.122 (1022) was scored in that round.

You know why I reckon that is, because players in the SANFL, actually have shots at goal when ever they think they can kick a goal, other than being a highly paid professional footballer, 40 metres out from goal in a vacuum called the Telstra Dome and trying to look to short pass to someone ten metres closer on a more difficult angle. Well done SANFL coaches and players on playing entertaining, high scoring football.

That's right, there are far too many players at AFL level who think they are doing the "team thing" and kick it into the "hot spot". Only thing is that there are about 3 extra defenders by the time the ball reaches there.
