In recent years:
2004 Central v Eagles 24,207
2006 Central v Eagles 25,130
2011 Central v Eagles 25,234
2001 Central v Eagles 26,378
2003 Central v West 28,199
2005 Central v Eagles 28,637
All other GFs in recent years have had 30k +.

Between the Second World War and the advent of the Crows the two smallest crowds for a Grand Final were the two GFs that West played Norwood, 1947 and 1961. 32,631 in 1947 and 40,909 in 1961. I know that there were extenuating circumstances in both cases, but it is an interesting aside that there are fears that if the two sides meet again this year it will be the smallest crowd since the Second World War.

If it's Norwood v West I wont even watch it on the box.
If it's Norwood v North I'll probably go down and have a look.

If doggies make reserves gf I'll be there.

If it is a Norwood v West GF I have a simple solution ..... do what I do, just watch Norwood and ignore West !

so 24k is smallest....
if its norwood v west we could get a lowest ever
and as one other punter stated if it's north should break the 30-35k mark

LOL
Never thought of that.
If I can get a half priced ticket for watching only one team,I might make the effort

If West actually played footy, a Nwd v West GF would get 27-29k with Norwood's following, some neutrals seeing something different with Centrals not being there, and a bit of senitmentality towards West.
If Norwood v North don't get 30-32k at least, then perhaps it shows Centrals following is underestimated.
Either way, i'll be there to see another part of SANFL history.

Centrals aren't their so u think it will be bigger than the last few years. Centrals have their supporters that go to all their games but a lot of the supporters who only went to finals and grand finals have started to take it for granted the last 6 or 7 years

Disagreed, we got more than 30k in 2007 when we played Central and IMHO Norwood have a lot more supporters than Central. Depends on a lot of things like weather, etc though, oh and North winning this week!

I was disagreeing with No Mercy saying your statement was "no chance", hence agreeing with you.
