Is this an accurate version of your late 70's/early 80's jumper?

Not a west supporter but went to football in the 70's
The stripes were thicker and there was no black panel on the back of the jumper which the numbers went on.
A handful of lace ups got used and they were closer to the thinner stripes on your example.

what was the back like?
Stripes all the way up, or like NA's in the 80's?

I'm 99% sure it was stripes all the way up and white numbers.

adelaide hawk you are correct, it was a jumper that i thought looked prety good, we also had the wolf with his paw on the footy as our logo

They changed to the sash in 1981
I remember going to a North v West game late in 1980 at Prospect as a young fella and wondering why both teams wore red shorts
