Mark McGrath was unfortunately killed in a RAAF training accident probably around 1967.

Robbie Farmer came from Collingwood

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Farmer

Michael Barry came from the south east, I think Mount Gambier

I have just found this link on the Internet regarding Mark McGrath. I am almost certain that is the ex-West player. I was rather close with 1967, the article says that he was killed January 3rd, 1968.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubon_Royal ... Force_Base

If my memory serves me correctly (and we are going back 45 years), there was an article in The News soon afterwards telling of his unfortunate death.

I'm not sure whether you have the details of
584 HAY, Ronald Charles Desmond 2/06/1945 (debut)

I love the stories he tells of Jack Broadstock, Clarrie Cannon and Gar Burkett.
I have a phone number if you wish to contact me

Thanks robranisgod

I also had the same reference and emailed the RSL - They didn't have his DOB which is what I am after. I plan to check the grave site along with O'Donohoe, Edwards, Ramm, Bishop, Ettridge, Lewis, Thatcher and Kempson hoping to find a DOB's at Centennial Park.

I also read and viewed the report and investigation into Mark's crash and wreckage but it didn't mention much about the man himself.
Mark is on the WAFC servicemen's honour board in the change rooms.

UPDATE:

Mark McGrath - went to Centennial park but no DOB recorded. Had a brother Nicholas and dads name was George Thomas, Mum was Marie.

I can't get hold of current elec. rolls (Stupid Privacy Rules) to find Nicholas McGrath - Lot of N. McGraths in the phonebooks across Australia. The RSL didn't have Mark's DOB. Not may options left on this one.

Did find these players I needed DOB's or DOD's for: Spoehr (Alive interstate), Keough (Deceased), F. Best (Victoria), L. Ramm (Dec) , E. Mildenhall (Dec. but still need DOBl), Kies (Dec), Hughes (Now Deceased but Need a DOB), Hamra (Dec), Thatcher (Dec) , John Bishop Jnr (Dec), Lots of phone calls to find relatives as you can imagine.

Wayne Frank Griffiths (Dec. & Ex Accountant?), thought I had his wifes number at Para Vista, but she has moved and since I cant get the elec Roll, I haven't been able to follow up.

Need to find Denis Garner (Ex Grange Residence) as his wife is relate to Alan McDonald who lives interstate. The phone number from 4 years ago is no longer current and I suspect they have moved house) -

Also been advised that Alan K Turner may ???? be deceased played WAFC 1949 (Might have the wrong middle initial - Had a suspicion he went to NSW...)

Keep the advice and leads coming good people - will be in the WAFC past players this weekend with my list to see if I can narrow it down more. Come and say hello

Possible Ray J Mahney is Ramon Mahoney deceased at buried Centennial Park BUT I need to confirm via a family member.

Been a busy two days.

Cheers Wedgie - Must catch up one day > If it wasn't for such weird SANFL programming where our teams have met twice early onand don't meet unless we play a final, I'd have suggested an upcoming minor round clash
