This is from the records I have from 1991 in regards to frees; North have equalled the most number of frees for by any team.

They had 37 frees, which is equal to the 37 gained by Norwood against Glenelg in the 1st Semi Final of 1993.

Today, South registered their highest score against Glenelg since 1976 - 26.18 to Glenelg 21.15 in Round 7 of that year. 24.13 is the 5th highest score by South overall against Glenelg.

We're in the Finals, We're in the Finals...

GO BLOODS...

Had to feel sorry for my son-in-law the Bay supporter. When we were picked up from the train at Noarlunga by his wife and daughters (My daughter and grand-daugters) he didn't even flinch when the eldest, 2 and a half, started singing "Blue and White, Blue and White, Blue and White, Blue and White..." and the 10 month old was singing "Banthas, Banthas".

This one has to even outdo Spellcheck:

Spelly, when was the last time the exact crowd number at a game equalled the last year the winning club of that day made the finals!

I'll have a look, but I reakon it would be never.

As I said, the crowd number (although it did look around that figure) looked a bit suspect, but I guess it wouldn't have been possible without the presence of Punky, yourself and me. :)

Do you keep stats on goals from frees spelly?

North had 8 (eight) goals from free kicks to half time.

Only what the newspaper has got. Probably the club stats people would have that.

Eagles had 118 marks - a club record, previous best was 110 against North in Round 1 of this year.
