Scores Differences I currently have

Out of all the scores I have, there are some conflicting sources with some of them. Ecky has gone through the ladders of Dion Haymans' latest publication (The 2004 book); and checked them with the constructed ladders of my scores. We have nailed them down to 31 scores which still don't add up to the ladders. There are 2 or 3 matches for each difference that remains, and here they are:

(Scores are in the same order as teams listed)
(North has one point less for and Port has one less point against)
Which means that one score should be one more point to North for and one more point against to Port.
1931 North vs Port:
Round 5 15.12 vs 12.8
Round 12 9.17 vs 11.13
P-Final 20.11 vs 11.10

(North has one more point more both for and against; as well as West)
1945 North vs West:
Round 5 17.25 vs 6.11
Round 12 11.14 vs 10.14

(Norwood has one more point against; West 1 more point for)
1955 Norwood vs West
Round 8 17.15 vs 9.10
Round 15 8.10 vs 13.12

(Norwood 1 more point for; South 1 more point against)
1964 Norwood vs South
Round 6 5.7 vs 12.12
Round 16 5.7 vs 8.11
Round 20 10.10 vs 21.24

(Norwood one less point for; Central one less against)
1965 Norwood vs Central
Round 7 28.16 vs 12.11
Round 20 9.15 vs 11.7

(Glenelg one less point for; Norwood one less against)
1970 Glenelg vs Norwood
Round 8 20.18 vs 14.16
Round 17 15.17 vs 23.10(Sturt 1 less point against; South one 1 less point for)
1986 Sturt vs South
Round 7 12.17 vs 7.10
Round 16 13.12 vs 22.9

(Sturt 2 points less against; South 2 less for)
1987 South vs Sturt
Round 3 11.19 vs 21.20
Round 12 11.14 vs 11.13
Round 21 16.5 vs 22.14

All these scores are currently the ones I have. If anyone has got the scores in any material such as the Advertiser, News, Sunday Mail, Football Budgets, Football Times, Football Yearbooks, Annual Reports, and anything else that may have scores, and they have a difference with any of these scores, it would be a big help if you can let me know.

Make sure though that you tell me where you got the score from as well.

Thanks for that. I suspect there will be some scores where the difference can't be found; and therefore have no idea why that ladder is different in the first place.

Thanks very much for those! Except I think 15.14 is the correct score, as I've seen 12.12 somewhere else as I recall and 15.14 is correct. The actual difference is 1 point more to Sturt (meaning one of those scores should be 1 point less) and either South or West has the one point more against - Glenelg has one more point for as well.

I should have put these differences up as well when I posted it, so everyone has an idea of what they are looking for. The other score differences match up.

I had a look at the full scores for that West 1948 match:

I have a different 3/4 time to you which may help
West

4.3
8.5
11.6
14.9

Maybe this helps

Yeah, I had West as 11.12 at three quarter time. Thanks again for that. 8)

Back yourself in with those 1980 scores Spelly. I reckon Dion got it slightly wrong that year. My premiership table of that year agrees with your figures.

And the same goes for 1981, 1983 and 1990. In 1986 and 1987, I agree with your scores but also with Dion's premiership tables. In 1990 (sourced from The Advertiser), I have South's score against Port as 9.10 (which concurs with Dion's ladder). In 1992 (again from The Advertiser) I have West's Rd 6 score as 18.23. I have seen it recorded as 18.22, but 18.23 fits with all the premiership tables.

As for 1993, I don't think there's a problem - scores and ladder both look right

Good to see you've got 1945 sorted out, but there's a couple of score amendments from Ern Kolosche's book which would settle your 1950 and 1956 premiership tables.

In Rd 15 of 1950 West scored 6.9 (not 6.10), and in Rd 5 of 1956, Glenelg scored 3.11 (not 3.13)
