They'd mean the Coca Cola Cup which was played on a knock out basis between teams that didn't make the then final 4. Woodville 13.15 d West Torrens 12.15 in the Final.

Yeah, it was only between 5th and 8th.

For the train spotters - Randall Gerlach, Bob Kingston, Kevin Beswick, Trevor Sorrell (?) and Trevor Grimwood are the others.

The 1973 Final was also Glen Pill's final match for West Torrens. He was a pretty handy player as well.

Moorook used to wear the same Dogwatcher, they changed because of the clash with Brown's Well.

I also found out why we were called The Beetles in the past.
Apparently it came about in 1963 - at the height of Beatlemania! Might explain Scads still having a mop top. lol

What Tom and Yoko have in common is that they ended the Beatles / Beetles and all concerned went on to better things.

Doesn't matter bring on the footy season.
