So is the Encounter Bay crowd 2,738 now?
The total would have been over 21,000 if it had of been 1 week before the AFL.

I for one hate Sunday games, and in two weeks time I'll have to head down to Noarlunga on a Sunday.
Worst trip ever.

I'll disagree with you about the worse trip ever.
Better to be at Noarlunga on an April Sunday than a July Sunday when its 10 degrees and the wind chill factor is minus 5.
I too hate Sunday games but just realised I'll be lucky next week as I have a week off for school holidays starting after our first home Sunday game (despite North specifically asking the SANFL for no home Sunday games).

True that. Problem is, we'd then have the grand final on during the AFL season. Do you honestly want to risk having an Eagles v South grand final on the same weekend as a home Cows preliminary final, just for the sake of a couple of extra thousand in Round 1 attendance? Round 1 is important, but the grand final is the biggest draw card the competition has.

West v Sturt: 2,683 is the 9th largest crowd at Richmond
Norwood v Port: 7,168 is the 9th largest crowd at The Parade

Hey it's all part of the Noarlunga experience - along with the 50-minute trip and the dash to be at Darlington by 12:30 to make the Expressway before it closes (or it's a 70-minute trip), and the walk around Colonnades (and that nice Chinese joint - Confucious).

There's much better eateries in the new food court, Confucious, yuk, had that for years when I worked down there and had an option of about 3 places.
