Players who were known by their middle name

The Denis Errey thread got me thinking, what does the F stand for? And also that there are other players who are known by their middle name such as John "Fred" Bills. Although Fred was a shortened form of Frederick.

How many more can people come up with?

I'd hate to make a mistake about the great man, but wasn't Rick Davies' initials E.R Davies, suggesting that he had a first name beginning with an "E" (as in, not Rick)?

Yes, this was one I was thinking of, but I did not want to post any of them in case just about everyone else knew.

Theo Lindner (brother of the great Don) was better known as "Hank" but I'm not sure how he came by that name or whether it is a middle name? Cue LL as he would know!

I would've suggested Fred Phillis, but I'm not sure how he got Fred out of D.K. :?

It's Dennis Keith Phillis. Fred is a nickname he got from school, to do with his "fiery bowling" at cricket. This was around the time "Fiery" Fred Trueman was playing for England, so he got the name Fred.

Coincidence that Lillee was Dennis Keith too. Though "Fred" was playing footy before Lillee was playing cricket. If I have a son.....

Probably what I'm about to reveal has nothing to with this but apparently the Pres of Southern Footy League goes by his 4th name Craig. RJSC Warman he played juniors at South I'm reliably informed.
