Want a chance to lead a cricket club?

Postby geppscrossrams » Tue Jun 25, 2013 11:32 pm

Want a chance to be an A-Grade coach or captain? Can you hold a bat as well as a pint?

Do you send down a few thunderbolts or crafty outswingers? Or just love playing cricket and being part of a club – no matter your skill, age, or experience?

Then come and be part of rebuilding the Gepps Cross Cricket Club!

The Gepps Cross Cricket Club has a proud history and an enviable set-up:
· two ovals with fantastic turf pitches
· turf practice wickets
· fully-equipped change rooms
· and of course…the Northgate Community & Sports Club – with hot meals, cold pints, TAB and Keno

It’s fair to say that our A-Grade has had a few tough seasons on the field. However, our off-field results last year were excellent – with new faces, fresh energy and outstanding numbers at training.

This year we want to have a crack at A4 and start the climb back up the ATCA ranks.

If you want a chance to shape a good cricket club, then here’s what we’re looking for in 2013/14:

· A-Grade players: especially if you value your wicket and can bat in the top five. Maybe you’re a seasoned player with a lot still to offer? Or a top B-Grader at your club who wants to lead our A4 side? Or an exciting junior who wants an opportunity to show what you can do with the bat or ball?

· One-day players: we have three one-day sides this season. Are you just looking for some 40-over fun? Haven’t played since high school? Not able to commit to every week due to work or family? Getting a little ‘long in the tooth’ but still able to hold your own and fire up the younger lads? Then you’d be a perfect fit…all ages, skill levels and nationalities are welcome at our club.

· Coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters: we’re a family friendly place, and a club is only as good as the people that help behind the scenes. So if you don’t play but want to be a valued part of our club, then we’re happy to make the most of your enthusiasm and skills!

Remuneration is available for the right people – if you think you can help us to sing the club song a few more times this year!

If you’re interested (or even just a little curious) then get in touch.
