Looks like WT avoid relegation by 0.04 on the quotient ladder over TTG, just shows how important every wicket and run is, especially when games get called off early. WT lost only four games for the entire season over all three comps, so think it is fair enough they stay up. Hopefully they learn some things from this season about how they are structuring their team and never let this possibility happen again!

Not sure what the $ means, never paid a player in my 20 years at the club.

But agree they have been shaken by being so close to relegation, hopefully they have a better plan going forward in structuring their team. Have not had any good juniors come thru into the 1st Grade for 4-5 years which is a worry. Used to pride ourselves when won the triple flags that 11 of the 12 were WT juniors.

It is all well and good to have Redbacks players want to come so they can play together with mates, but at some stage becomes too many and you end up where they are now. Needs a better plan going forward!

Has TTG been in Division 2 before?

No, first time they have been relegated.

Three clubs now have not been down to Div 2, they are West Torrens, Kensington and Port Adelaide.

Also three clubs who have not been in Div 1 are Northerns, Southerns and Prospect.

Northerns have their chance this week against Adelaide Uni. Might be their only chance, if they are changing to one up, one down next season then TTG be odds on to do what Glenelg did this season and be undefeated.

Can’t see Southerns or Prospect ever going up unfortunately.
