Craigmore appear to be the team to beat at the moment as they toppled Playford for 64 with some awesome fielding. They knocked up the runs losing 3 wickets along the way.
Smithfield knocked up 4/195 and dismissed Eastern Park for 108 in the late game, well done to Shaun Goulding with his 104 not out.
Round 3 will be held at Eastern Park on the 14th of December, Eastern Park vs Playford at 12 noon then Craigmore play Smithfield at 3pm.
Craigmore have pretty much sewn up a spot in the GF which will be held on January 18th.
Craigmore will definately be the team to beat BECAUSE they take it the most serious by a country mile, from what i have seen there are 3 teams there to have fun, make money for the club and play as many players as possible, Craigmore is there to win a trophy.
Fair point, I think we'll give them a good game, they haven't had a big chase or set a big total yet, Raed is due for a big one and he usually smashes his way out of a rut. If we play them in the GF, we'll win, they are a bit too correct for the 20/20 style where we have at least 6 or 7 decent slappers, 3 of them didn't play on Sunday.
Yeah i agree on what i saw last Sunday i think Smithfield would win easily, i think his name is Willougbhy, he looks like he would be hard to get away in these 20/20 games.
And yeah i wasn't overly impressed by Craigmore's level of seriousness, including players sledging all throughout the small Playford innings. Our clubs understanding of this mini tournament was that it was pretty much like the old sunday comp and a chance for each club to make a nice little bit of profit and build better friendships throughtout the clubs.
