BCC, agree that anyoner wouldve been pissed about losing a GF like that, but perhaps meadows shouldve complained to the league about the umpires then, not aldgate. lets not forget that t.henshke couldnt bowl that day because of the wet run ups, may not have made a difference but it also may have. we'll never know. as far as i know things arent all that bad betwen both teams now that meadows won last year. also for a little piece of irony for u C&K.Dawe's sister until a week ago was working the front bar at the aldgate. wonder if she would quit if she was working there 2 years ago.

on the eve of the finals a question came to me by a wise old man about how different finals cricket is higher pressure, more intense, and lastly netural umpires for the lower grades can make a fair difference as to the not outs to blantent lbws ???some teams may find this a fair bit different to cope with :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: looking forward to your response .

Good post there twe.

I'd love to be a neutral umpire for a happy valley game or eastern ranges or even stanley bridge and give some back for all the shit they put everyone through.

May need protection after the game, but it would be worth it to see those smokers suffer some of their own medicine!

Dutchy - I think you've exposed my lack of knowledge when it comes to betting. I'm with DA, bit of a spastic when it comes to that.
Thanks for not taking advantage and pillaging my already deflated "savings" account!!!
BTW - C grade - is that on the rubber matting at HV? This just keeps getting better!!

Yeah right.
Our a grade said it was hard to bat on, sometimes like wet turf.
Will the back need to be bent or are you serious about tennis ball bounce?

Happy Valley is Weird. It doesn't matter where it is pitched it just balloons up and says hit me if you can. The more you bend your back the quicker it comes up but the pitch seems to take a fair bit of pace out of 4 out of 5 balls. Very weird surface when we played on it but it was still quite new then.

Cheers for the heads up, lads. Not like batsmen need help on a 37 degree day, but that's just another little challenge that we'll all have to deal with.
I still can't believe that we have to travel there for a game of 'hills' cricket.
Are HV doing us a favour and leaving HCA next year, anyone know?

glad you said SOUTH of Flagstaff Hill!!!

I doubt they will leave the HCA with Reynella going to ATCA I would expect the southern comp to be fairly weak next season...in all honesty it is only a 20 min drive from the Devil Park, Meadows is further away

I live at Bellevue Heights so had to give myself some breathing space! Flagstaff is a good area, but it's all downhill south of there!!!!

It is close to Dev park, but where would you rather go - Meadows or Crappy Valley?
